Disposing of your Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) items

WEEE Disposal by A1 Chemical Waste Management Ltd is a simple and cost effective solution for managing your Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment recycling (WEEE). Long gone are the days of just sending your items to landfil. Since the implementation of the original Directive in the UK, the WEEE Regulations 2006, disposing if these items has become easier as the industry grows.

WEEE Items

WEEE DisposalIn simple terms, WEEE includes most products that have a plug or need a battery.

These can be broadly placed into 1 of 10 categories. Each category will have its own requirements for disassembly and recycling.

Here at A1 Chemical Waste Management Ltd we have the experience to quickly and effectively recycle these items in the correct manner, reducing the amount of waste and impact on the environment.

This will help satisfy your obligations to the Waste Electric and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations 2013.

When we arrive, we will swiftly load them onto one of our vehicles and after a bit of paperwork, take them to one of our Approved Authorised Treatment Facilities (AATF) for recycling, reuse or disposal.

WEEE compliance

Failure to comply with these regulations could result in the following penalties:

  • Minimum £5,000 fine per prosecution; maximum unlimited
  • Possible ban from company directorship
  • Civil action from the data subject
  • Costs claimed against your company
